Moments

I truly believe that beautiful moments are happening everywhere. Most of us are going too fast with our heads down looking at our phones. Watching other people experiencing their lives. This stops us from really seeing what life has to offer us.

That's a big reason I have fallen in love with photography. At first, it helped me to start looking for moments when I had a camera up to my eye. Now, I look for them with or without my camera. The act of finding something beautiful, then standing there analyzing it, finding just the right angle, and waiting for just the right light. It's such a great way to slow down and enjoy that moment.

To me, this picture is a good example of a beautiful yet mundane moment. Nothing special, just a child playing with their parent.

To me, there are four moments happening here. There is the child playing with the water. There is the dad, that is taking that chance to play with their child. There's the moment I'm having watching this take place. I would even say there's the moment that we see the picture. Does that moment impact us? Can we learn something from it? Does it inspire us?

So I ask, how does this moment impact you? Or what's a small moment that has made a huge impact on your life? I would love to hear about it.
