Washed Out

Today is a tip for any of you trying to push your photography craft. :)

Here is a tip for whenever you have a sky that is blown out but you still love the picture. Try going black and white with it. This also works when you have odd colors that are in your shot. Like someone wearing a pink shirt against a lime green background. Limit the distractions so people can see your work. It’s pretty simple trick, but it's something that I use all the time. Of course, art is all subjective. Some might like hot pink on lime green backgrounds. No judgment here, because at the end of the day it's important that the picture speaks to you. That's how I decide what I should edit and what I should trash. It has to speak to me. I have to believe if I can connect with something in that image then someone else can too.
